BIOGRAPHY

GERALD B. ROSENBERG founded NewTechLaw in 1999. Previously, Mr. Rosenberg was a partner at Fliesler, Dubb, Meyer & Lovejoy LLP. After joining the Fliesler firm in 1984, Mr. Rosenberg became a partner of the firm in 1987 and was made a full partner in 1990. Before joining the Fliesler firm, Mr. Rosenberg worked as patent counsel for the Hughes Malibu Research Center in Malibu California.

Mr. Rosenberg's academic, technical, and professional background spans the full range of Intellectual Property Law and a broad range of technologies from material sciences and semiconductor physics to complex microelectronic computer system designs.

His legal practice includes all aspects of high-technology Intellectual Property Law with a special emphasis on the acquisition, development and protection of high-technology patent portfolios.

Mr. Rosenberg focuses a substantial portion of his practice on serving the legal and business needs of emerging growth companies in the areas of electronics, computer systems and peripherals, software, and semiconductor technologies.

Mr. Rosenberg is experienced in the negotiation, structuring, and preparation of complex patent licensing agreements, OEM and VAR agreements, strategic technology development and joint venture agreements, and manufacturing and supply agreements.

He is also experienced in supporting the formation and financing of such new technology businesses. Mr. Rosenberg is quite familiar with the Intellectual Property aspects of private financings, public offerings, and mergers and acquisition transactions.
